Book Review: Confessions of a Funeral Director

This is a book review of Confessions of a Funeral Director, by Caleb Wilde. I enjoyed this book very much. In may ways it reminded be of Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by Caitlin Doughty, though Wilde’s book more directly addresses issues of Christian spirituality in the context of death than Doughty’s did. For me, one of the most valuable discussions in the book centered around the ways in which the western world has distanced itself from death, to our own detriment. I highly recommend this book to everyone, perhaps most especially if you feel resistance toward it!

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the author and/or publisher through the Speakeasy blogging book review network. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR,Part 255.
