Trust your gut, they say. I have even written about it, trust your gut. What do we do when we aren’t sure what our gut is telling us, or when we doubt it? Research indicates that our gut is always at work, and that most of the feelings we have about people or situations are, in fact, instinctive responses – gut responses, if you will. Many of us will then begin to doubt ourselves, and that is when it seems we cannot find what our gut is leading us to do. So go with your first impression. More often than not, it is the right thing to do. If later you find evidence to the contrary, you an always change your mind.
