True religion and true spiritual practice exist in relieving the distress present in ourselves and others. Some religious leaders believe that building seemingly endless lists of clergy who do nothing other than play dress up and massage the ego of the king or queen accomplishes that, though I confess I do not understand how that works. Dress up is a great game for children. What the adult world needs are people willing to get their hands dirty relieving the pain of others.
