To the extent that we run from our psychic pain, we direct our attention toward it and invite it to follow us. Mind you, I am not advocating denial or pretending that the pain doesn’t exist. I am saying that the only thing that works is turning toward the pain and walking through it to wholeness. What is it that holds you back? How, instead of pushing it away, might you embrace it gently and allow it to heal? What do you see when you look in the mirror?
