Boundaries

I saw a recommended article on Linked In the other day that said, essentially, that strong companies demand their employees are available every moment of every day, even when they are on vacation. That’s terribly unhealthy for employees, which means it’s terribly unhealthy for companies, too. People who don’t know how to take time away from their jobs soon suffer from burn out, their family lives suffer or are destroyed, and they come to resent their employer. No job or career is worth killing yourself for or losing your family. Any employer who maintains otherwise is someone to avoid like the plague.
