Violence and Coercion

Violence and coercion never result in lasting change, and so are techniques doomed to fail. American culture is in need of deep work around racism, but violence and coercion only breed resentment and violence in return. Those advocating such strategies will not be able to advance the cause. Until we learn that lesson, our culture will continue to struggle every time it tries to effect meaningful and lasting change.
