There are many ways to do important work for social justice. Not everybody is cut out for every job. Some are great a lobbying, protesting, direct service, organizing, and a host of other important roles – but nobody is good at all of them. In fact, trying to do things that you aren’t good at or are very uncomfortable doing is not only ineffective, it also depletes your energy that could be used doing something powerful. We all have gifts. Don’t be afraid to identify yours and do what you are best at.
