As some of you may know, I slipped and fell on ice in my garage on January 14th and, until yesterday when I finally visited my orthopedic surgeon, had been unable to get anything close to a diagnosis.

It’s important to remember that these is nothing about a medical school diploma that makes someone an effective physician. George Carlin famously said that somewhere in the world, by a process of elimination, was the world’s worst doctor – and someone has an appointment with him tomorrow morning at 9am.

You and your loved ones are entitled to good, respectful medical care. If a physician, clinic, or other facility is unable or unwilling to provide it then you should move on to another provider. After all, you wouldn’t keep going back to a mechanic who couldn’t fix your car, would you?
