Much as we might wish the opposite was true, total security cannot be found. What’s more, one day, every last one of us will die. We can spend our whole lives protecting what we have and trying to render ourselves and our loved ones free from harm, and still we will all die one day. We can allow ourselves to be manipulated endlessly by politicians who tell us that we must increase our national security and send young men and women off to die in wars so that we will be safe – and still, one day each of us without exception will die. We can in fact be so fearful of death that we never live, and still we will die. How tragic it is to see someone laying on their deathbed with the realization they never lived for fear of dying. Take reasonable precautions, but then live life to its fullest so that on your last day you will have no regrets.
