Boundaries

As the old saying goes, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. When we put ourselves on the line for other people boundariesand they either don’t appreciate our efforts or twist them to use them against us, it’s important to re-establish appropriate boundaries and become more self-protective. There is nothing honorable about being a door mat or a pasty. We absolutely have the right to say “no” in every circumstance, and in response to a question that beings, “do you mind if I…” to say, “yes, I do mind!” Healthy relationships absolutely depend on healthy boundaries!
