Real people have real bodies that cannot be airbrushed because, well, they are real bodies. Our fascination with the fiction of physical perfection is but one reflection of how out of touch we are with our physical selves. It doesn’t matter how much we diet or exercise, we will not look at forty-four like we did when we were twenty-four. The physical can never bring happiness because it is transitory. If you don’t like what’s inside your skin it really doesn’t matter what your skin looks like, does it?
