Daily Teaching for Monday, June 17th

Most of us go out of our way to be accepted by others. We shape, push, prod and tan our bodies; color our hair, bleach our skin, get fake nails, put on eyelashes that are way too long to ever pass for real, buy colored contact lenses, have liposuction and a boob job, consult Ron Jeremy to see how to make our penis bigger, have plastic surgery on our labia to make them more attractive – the list goes on an on. What all of those interventions have in common is that they all are eventually overcome by gravity and the aging process itself. I often wonder if the people who most vigorously process themselves could ever possibly be happy when the processing wears off. Will they even recognize themselves? A little self acceptance would save people a whole lot of misery, and money!
