If you are waiting for God to descend from on high and rescue you then  you are bound to be disappointed. There is no external superhero God wearing a red cape and waiting to fly in and rescue you. The truth is that God dwells within us and calls us to wholeness and responsibility. So if you are crossing the street and notice a bus bearing down on you and choose to wait for God to rescue you the odds are you will be meeting God very soon. On the other hand, you could use your God-given intelligence and get yourself out of the middle of the street. The choice is yours.
