More than five hundred years ago Galileo famously declared that the earth revolves around the sun. Previously people thought that the earth was the center of the universe. Some people, apparently not fully understanding Galileo, seem to believe the universe revolves around them. Getting over ourselves is but one benefit of spiritual practice!
