Daily Teaching for Saturday, March 2nd

When you stop to think about it, much of what people try to get us all excited about isn’t really going to make a huge difference in terms of life and death. The economy is in the toilet and our Congress seems determined to make it worse, apparently blissfully ignorant of what happens to leaders in oppressive governments. Whatever happens, you and I can’t control it and so our job is to cope with it. Major cities are closing schools because our corrupt government refuses to fund education, and some wonder aloud why it isn’t “news.” The answer is the media is controlled by corporate America and so we don’t have “journalism” anymore, which is a prerequisite for “news.” Information overload is a real danger that can harm us. Be selective about what you take in! If you can’t change it or control it, there probably isn’t much point worrying about it.
