Much of the northeast is still digging out from under a massive snow storm that dumped up to thirty inches of snow over that area Friday into Saturday. The images of people standing among that much snow – where in many cases none had been present just days earlier – is a reminder of how suddenly life can change. One day we experience life as normal, the next we can’t walk out our front door. It’s a reminder that there is no time like the present to start serious spiritual practice, no time like the present to tell our loved ones that we love them, no time like the present to learn that new skill or hobby. The day will come when it is too late.
