I saw someone on Facebook yesterday ask what the Church could do to improve itself. I didn’t want to offer my answer there because the discussion was on someone else’s page. I do have an answer, though. The first thing the Church needs to do, both locally and denomination-wide, is stop making self perpetuation its primary goal and return to having serving people – both inside and outside the Church – as its primary goal. Of course, that won’t happen because it would require the stuffed shirts who hold the power in the Church to be willing to surrender their power.
