Saturdays are a day of rest for many people who work Monday through Friday. It seems that for too many of us our day of rest is filled with soccer games and other children’s activities, at this time of year with running from store to store practicing the national religion of materialism, running to watch a terrible movie, then maybe a family meal out at a restaurant, and on and on. Just for fun, try spending just fifteen minutes in silence after you get the kids to bed and experience real rest. You’ll be amazed how good it feels.
