Daily Teaching for Monday, June 18th

We drove past a golf course yesterday, Father’s Day here in America, and I was rather surprised at the number of men on the golf course. I wondered aloud why somebody would leave their family on Father’s Day to play golf, and my wife reminded me that there are probably a fair number of families just glad to get rid of the Old Man for five hours on the golf course! That’s a sad, but true, statement about the consequences of consumer capitalism on the family.
