There is never a reason to attempt to convert anyone to your religious or spiritual point of view.  The reason is that each of us must determine the path that we are called to travel, and nobody else can determine what path is best for us no matter how good their intentions.  Attempts to convert others are nothing more than thinly (or not so thinly) veiled attempts to manipulate and control others and serve no purpose but enhancing our egos – and the ego is always a barrier to spiritual growth!
