Daily Teaching for Monday, November 28th

Sabbath. A day of rest. It’s not necessarily a religious concept, it only became that later. The early Hebrews recognized that it wasn’t good for people physically, mentally, or spiritually, to work seven days a week – and yest that’s precisely what many of us in the West do because we have convinced ourselves it’s necessary. For what it is necessary? Unless it is literally necessary to put food on the table or keep a roof over our heads, working seven days a week for the “extras” is to buy them at the expense of the health of our body, mind, and spirit. Take a day of Sabbath!
