Have you ever noticed that no matter how many birthdays you have celebrated you don’t really feel any older? Your body might very well feel older, but you – your self perception and the way you relate to those around you – don’t feel any older than you did when you were in high school. Hopefully, you are wiser – but we all know someone who seems to have regressed in the wisdom department since high school. This difference between the way we feel and the way our bodies feel suggests that we are much more than our bodies. Why then do so many of us remain preoccupied with our bodies?
