A lot of people try to manipulate others by announcing to them, “I’m mad at you!” It’s important to recognize that we are the only people responsible for our feelings, thoughts, and behavior. If we are mad at someone, it’s our issue – not their’s. So, the next time someone announces they are mad at you, simply reply – either aloud or to yourself, “Well, you’ll either get over it or die mad. Either way, my life goes on.” I think you’ll find that practice extremely liberating!
